my best friend has a house in new jersey and when i first got there on my trip, we decided to drive around and have dinner. she lives near a place called west new york, which is a town in new jersey right on the shore of the hudson— no matter where you are, if you look east, all you see is this massive skyline of new york city. we drove her car all through these psycho hills and down cliffs, and every dip was punctuated by that view. on the college radio station we found that night they played this song and it is basically everything i needed to say about my trip to new york. the saxophones at the end quarter of the song are the sweetest and prettiest thing i have heard lately.
