Weekend Outings

I’m at Stardust out of boredom. I’m used to laboring on Mondays, and I can’t stand being in the house anymore.  There’s a man here with two daughters, 9-11ish. They’re drinking the fancy sodas. It reminds me of when my dad used to take my sister and I with him to coffee shops and music stores and comic book conventions on the weekends. One time we went to the airport and sat next to a gate and watched the planes board and taxi away. I think he enjoyed having two little humans with total worship in their eyes follow him around. I still feel like I’m a little girl most of the time. I still go home every night and tell my dad about my day and pray he approves. If he’s pleased it’s a bonus. If this is what being an adult feels like (constant, intense nostalgia), then it sure is annoying.
