Nails Did!
First of all, I would like to say that I was fully drunk while getting my nails did yesterday afternoon. My nail tech Betty and I were straight legit chuggin’ on cheap wine while she filled my nails and expertly buffed out the crack on my tumb that I got when I was trying to set up my Playstation on my bedroom TV on Tuesday. My second Playstation. For when I’m too lazy to get out of bed and walk down the hall to the living room to play Final Fantasy.
Anyway, when I walked in I wanted baby pink nails with little polka dots all over. When I left, we had drunkenly added metallic gold cross-hatching in between the dots. It’s really subtle, and it’s a nice surpise to people when the look at my nails close up. Base coat is OPI’s Arrivederci!
Pro Tip: When I wear my nails this long, I avoid using Creme finish nail polishes on my nails. On shorter nails, a baby pink, purple or blue with a lot of white base (which is what makes it Creme, instead of a clear base that makes a Jelly finish) will make your nails look even faker than they clearly are, and sort of like you used one of those gross Gel Pens from 2001 on them. Unless that’s what you’re going for. I always try to use Shimmers or Jelly finishes with nails this long because it gives the nail color more depth, hides little flaws, and makes the whole design look more professional. Save the chalky stuff for short nails and toes!
